Position Summary
The Automotive Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of domestic and import vehicles. The ideal candidate is dependable, team-oriented, and committed to performing repairs correctly the first time while maintaining a positive attitude and professional appearance.
Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and repairs accurately and efficiently
- Conduct maintenance services including oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, alignments, and fluid exchanges
- Diagnose drivability, electrical, suspension, steering, and engine performance concerns
- Utilize digital vehicle inspections (DVIs) to document findings and recommendations
- Communicate clearly with service advisors regarding vehicle conditions and repair needs
- Follow manufacturer specifications and shop procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Test-drive vehicles as needed to verify repairs
- Keep current with industry technology and training
- Assist fellow team members when needed to ensure excellent customer service
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of automotive repair experience preferred
- ASE Certifications preferred but not required
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to perform repairs on domestic and import vehicles
- Experience using scan tools and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction
